How do our NFT Rewards Work
As mentioned, IDC Games will reward players, developers and influencers with $IDC and tokenizable digital assets and useful benefits. The loyalty program for players is more complex than the others, and this is how it works.
Earning points and completing achievements. Every IDC Games player earns IDC points for free when achieving given levels of playtime, game installs, games purchased, writing reviews, uploading game content, or using promotional keys.
Collecting achievements. Some types of interaction reward users with badges, which are digital collectible images that certify an achievement. When all the available badges of a collection are earned, the user can choose to craft them into an NFT.
Deciding to tokenize or not. Once the player has earned a reward that is convertible into an NFT, he can choose to tokenize it, or not. If he doesn't craft it into an NFT, the reward continues to be linked to his user account and he can't trade it.
The player tokenizes the reward. NFTs are created within a blockchain by a proces called minting. All blockchain transactions, including the minting, buying, selling, and transfer of NFTs - and cryptocurrencies -, incur a gas fee, that the user has to pay. The gas fee is necessary to compensate the people -called validators- that store blockchains at their servers and use their computers to publish new pieces of data into a blockchain, validating the transaction.
Once the reward is tokenized, all the data related to the reward is recorded and timestamped within a blockchain: reward name, ledger that owns it, gas fee, commision rate, list of benefits, associated image, etc.
The advantages of crafting digital badges into an NFT over not crafting are:
NFT owners enjoy additional discounts in game purchases.
The owner of the NFT can sell it to another player, along with the benefits it bestows on the owner, monetizing the badges he earned.
