Revenue model
The revenue model
Our revenue model is 25/75: 25% for IDC Games, 75% for the developer. This model is flexible and we run promotional campaigns that lower our cut to attract new developers and reward top developers.
The platform's revenue streams
Initial game purchases: games that are not free to play are monetized by an upfront cost in order to access the game.
Microtransactions from In-game items. Microtransactions for in-game items are the main monetization model for free to play games. They can be cosmetic (for example, skins for characters or weapons) and/or funcional (for example new characters or weapons, boosters, in-game currency).
Downloadable content (DLC) and season passes: content updates that are downloaded directly into the game (for example new levels, new maps, new game modes, etc.). Season passes are a mix of DLC that offer a discount if the users purchases the content individually.
Subscriptions: some games or developers offer access to all their additional content to their subscribers instead of charging additional content through individual purchases.
In-game advertising: some free to play games are monetized by showing non-intrusive ads within the game.
NFT transcations: for every NFT that is minted, upgraded, or traded at IDC Games, the platform will take a cut.
